- My name is Favour, and I never imagined I would be in this position, publicly asking for help , but today, my mother’s life depends on it. She urgently needs breast surgery, but we cannot even admit her to Bethel Hospital because we don’t have the funds to pay the bills. Her condition is deteriorating rapidly, and every day that passes brings more pain, more suffering, and more danger to her life. The medications from the hospital only ease the pain temporarily; surgery is the only way she can survive.
Not long ago, we lost our father, and that loss left my little sister and me with only our mother to hold on to. She has been our strength, our protector, our guide, and our safe place. She became both mother and father to us, sacrificing everything just to keep us alive and hopeful, even when life gave her nothing in return. Now, the one who has always been strong is weak, suffering, and in urgent need of help. The total cost of her surgery, hospital care, and medications is ₦2,540,000 (about $1,600 USD), an amount far beyond what my little sister and I can raise alone. If anything happens to her, we will be left completely alone — just two young girls without our only parent. She is all we have left, the person who has carried our family through grief and hardship, and now she needs us. I am humbly asking for your help.
